I believe i posted this article to my Facebook page a while back, or at least one similar to it. Either way, I can personally back up what is said in this article. There are nights that sleep doesn’t come for me until the wee hours of the morning because I will have bullying on the brain. Likewise, some of the nightmares that I have will seem so real that sleep is usually a long way off after I awaken.
Bottom line: workplace bullying is a pervasive issue. It affects work performance, mental and physical health, relationships – so many things. It should not be any surprise that sleep is also a casualty of the war caused by bullies. Remember – take care of you and yours. If the bullying is becoming too much, get out of the situation as best you can. Your life should not be the cost you pay for a job. No job is worth that kind of sacrifice!
