COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – Experts say it’s not just kids who are experiencing bullying anymore. An increasing number of people report being bullied at work.
“Jeff,” who does not want to be identified, says he was bullied for nearly a year at his job. “There’s nothing you can do,” he said.
Behind closed doors, Jeff says his boss would unnecessarily micro manage him and give him undeserved poor reviews.
“Basically, they were creating situations that would make me look bad or put me in a tough position,” said Jeff. “Most of it was not reality.” He would be asked why he didn’t sign a certain form. “You go to HR and the form doesn’t exist,” said Jeff.
Jeff says the treatment he was getting at work got so bad, it began to affect his health.
